Viz Review: The Beginning of a New Life

Quick Insight
The main data set is on Eszter’s weight change, of which there was very little change in Eszter’s weight until the second trimester. And, within a month of birth, she was back to normal! There was even a period in the first trimester where she lost a little weight.
Design Notes
I think I need this viz linked to my fitness app! The radial bar chart is a great choice here, making it easy to see the insights in the data. The color palate is very nice and I like how the weight and length charts in the middle integrated smoothly into the main viz.
My only suggestion here is that the text on the sides is muted. Perhaps the intent was to not have the font color distract users from the central viz. I would love to see more interactive features as well, but the data is limited so there aren’t too many opportunities for that.
